pH and Conductivity Monitor

Ideal for biopharmaceutical analysis, the pH monitor does not actually detect compounds in a sample, but rather monitors the pH of the effluent and is used in combination with a UV-Vis detector (diode array, multiple wavelength, or variable wavelength detector). Monitoring the pH gradient of an ion-exchange separation of proteins is the most common use of an online pH monitor.

Accurate measurement of online pH and conductivity for HPLC applications is important for ion exchange separations of proteins as the elution is dependent on the isoelectric point (pI). Knowing the pH of the effluent is required for consistent and reproducible separations.
